Let the stars be, S

the windmill be, W

& Let the clock be, C

Rewriting the equations in the above terms,

Equation (1); S + S + S = 18

Equation (2); W + W + S = 14

Equation (3); C + C – W = 02

Equation (4); W + C * 2S =?

Now, solve equation (1);

S + S + S = 18

3S = 18

S = 6

So, star with 6 angles = 6

Moving ahead for equation (2),

W + W + S = 14

2W + 6 = 14

2W = 8

W = 4, (windmill with 4 blades)

Now, substitute the value in equation (3);

C + C – W = 02

2C – 4 = 02

2C = 6

C = 3, (clock with time 3’o clock)

Now, for final equation we know,

star with 6 angles = 6,

so, star with 5 angles = 5.

windmill with 4 blades = 4,

windmill with 3 blades = 3.

clock with time 3’o clock = 3,

clock with time 2’o clock = 2.

So, substituting the value for final equation (4);

W + C * 2S =?

= 3 + 2 * 2(5)

= 3 + 2 * 10
